Ingredients
4large ripe tomatoesrinsed
1medium sweet onionthinly sliced
2tablespoonsred wine vinegar

Instructions
Quarter 4 large tomatoes and place them in a large salad bowl. Thinly slice 1 medium sweet onion and add it to the bowl with the tomatoes.
In a small bowl, whisk together 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar, 3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil, ½ teaspoon garlic powder, ½ teaspoon kosher salt, ½ teaspoon granulated sugar, and ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper until well combined.
Pour the dressing over the tomatoes and onions. Gently toss the salad to ensure the vegetables are evenly coated with the dressing.
Let the salad sit at room temperature for 15 - 20 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
Before serving, sprinkle torn fresh basil leaves over the salad for a burst of fresh flavor.
